What is the worst thing about this job?
1You make little money 3 to 5 years in your field. If you can survive 10 years, you’ll be set for life.
2. We have new customers all the time. This is the hardest part of the work. Most insurance companies give you a list of 100 friends and family members looking for when they hire you first. So two weeks it is you’ve called everyone, and maybe 3 or 4 sorry for you if they bought something. Well, what do you do? Start knocking on doors? Grab the yellow pages? This part really sucks. After you do this job for 5 to 10 years, its much easier because you have a good reputation and most of your customers are built by word of mouth
3. What is the best thing?
1. Financial freedom by paying your contributions. If you do 10 years, you have all the money you need for the rest of your life. There are not many jobs that you like this kind of freedom
2. The freedom to your own schedule. They work, if you want to work. (Children do not see, even here), you are 60 to 80 hours work per week when you start. But if you need to take a day off, you just set your calendar on the free time.
Insurance is big business to take a ton of work and patience, but it’s worth it. You want to get a license to sell auto insurance is not only, but all lines of property and casualty insurance, life and health insurance, and maybe you get a title (series 6 or 7) The flexibility to meet all needs your customers, you can more money, then the mere collection of 5 or 6% commission on sales only make auto insurance. The more lines you probably have your customers shop for custom reporting each year.
